TotSpot Party
The younger set loves TotSpot as the locale for their birthday celebrations! The party gets underway with a visit to the enormously popular Bubbles gallery before moving into the TotSpot gallery. Choose one of two themes: Music & Movement or Art to create a party that best celebrates your child’s individuality. Guests wrap up their birthday bash with refreshments+ in a private party room. Recommended for ages 2–5.
Wednesday–Friday from 5–6:30 p.m. and
Saturday–Sunday from 10:30 a.m.–noon

Messy Merriment
No muss, no fuss, just messy fun at this popular museum birthday party! An assortment of goopy, gooey and squishy materials is guaranteed to provide hands-on birthday fun! The best part—you leave the clean up to us! Enjoy playing with slime, oobleck, clean “mud” and more at this multi-sensory birthday bash! Smocks are provided. This party includes a visit to the popular TotSpot gallery.+ Recommended for ages 2–5.

Story Art
This popular museum program is available in extended form as a fun-filled birthday party! Start the party with a circle time story, selected by the birthday child from a list of favorite books. Then move on to craft time—where our little artists will make a related art project to take home as a wonderful birthday souvenir. This party includes a visit to the popular TotSpot gallery.+ Recommended for ages 3–5.

Museum Explorer Party
Exploration is the name of the game when party guests navigate four of our hands-on exhibit galleries. Then, guests move to a private party room for birthday refreshments.+ This party can be adapted to suit ages 4–12.

Happy Bug Day!
Have a buggy birthday party! Discover the amazing lives and natural history of insects and spiders. Learn about bug anatomy and create your own imaginary bug to commemorate this creepy, crawly celebration.+ Recommended for ages 5–9.

New! Superhero Party (available January 2013)
Help LICM fight crime! Children develop their superhero alter-egos, design clever disguises and use their extraordinary powers to capture super villains who are menacing LICM. Justice (and refreshments+) will be served! Recommended for ages 5–9.

Weird Science!
Calling all scientists! Join us in the LICM laboratory where your team of mad scientists will concoct the perfect celebration. Our secret formula for birthday fun includes some weird and wacky ingredients: glorious gases and strange and unusual liquids. End this science spectacular with some snackable solids+ in your own party room. This party can be adapted to suit ages 5–12.

Spy School!
Become a secret agent for your birthday! Join us at the School of Secret Undercover Agents’ (SOSUA) Long Island Headquarters. Work with your team of private investigators to solve the mystery at the museum. Choose your secret identity. Crack and send coded messages. Learn how to blend into your surroundings to avoid detection. The SOSUA team will make your birthday something special, but SH-H-H it’s a secret. This party can be adapted to suit ages 7–12.
Wednesday–Friday from 5–6:30 p.m. and
Saturday–Sunday from 10:30 a.m.–noon and 1–2:30 p.m.

Party Hours/Costs

LICM offers weekday (5–6:30 p.m.) and weekend parties (10:30 a.m.–noon and 1–2:30 p.m.) Party prices start at $325 for weekday parties (Wed.–Fri.) and $375 for weekend parties (Sat.–Sun.) for up to 10 children. Additional guests are charged at the rate of $15 per child. LICM members receive either a 10% or 15% discount (depending on their membership level) off party pricing (excluding food). Ask about our chaperone policy.

Maximum capacity for all LICM parties is 40 guests children and adults).

You may provide your own party refreshments or, for an additional fee, take advantage of LICM’s pizza and/or birthday cake package. Kosher refreshments are available for a small additional charge.

Pizza Package: Three cheese pizzas
(36 slices) served up hot and accompanied by icy cold apple juice and lemonade. Cost: $40*
Let Them Eat Cake! A one-quarter sheet cake complete with candles. Cost: $40*
Pizza and Cake Package Cost: $80*
